Directory of Open Access Books – DOAB is a community-driven discovery service that indexes and provides access to scholarly, peer-reviewed open access books and helps users to find trusted open access book publishers. All DOAB services are free of charge and all data is freely available.
DOAJ – DOAJ is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals.
Education.com – Offers interactive educational games, hands-on activities, and printable workbooks for various subjects and grade levels.
HippoCampus.org – HippoCampus.org is a free, core academic web site that delivers rich multimedia content–videos, animations, and simulations–on general education subjects to middle-school and high-school teachers and college professors, and their students, free of charge. Teachers project HippoCampus content during classroom learning and assign it for computer labs and homework.
Khan Academy – Known for its free online courses, Khan Academy offers a wide range of subjects, including math, science, history, and more. It’s a good option for students seeking extra help or exploring subjects in more depth.
MERLOT – A database of online learning materials, primarily for higher education, but some resources may be suitable for advanced junior high students.
Online Diksiyonaryo ng Wikang Filipino – The KWF Diksiyonaryo ng Wikang Filipino is an online dictionary originally based on the database first published in 1989 and updated to its third edition in 2011. The dictionary is continuously expanded with words coming from other Philippine languages, as well as foreign words which were assimilated into Filipino.
OpenStax – A project of Rice University, OpenStax provides high-quality, peer-reviewed textbooks and supporting materials in various subjects, including K-12 and higher education. These textbooks are freely available and can be adapted for different learning styles.
OATD.org – OATD.org aims to be the best possible resource for finding open access graduate theses and dissertations published around the world. Metadata (information about the theses) comes from over 1100 colleges, universities, and research institutions. OATD currently indexes 7,464,811 theses and dissertations.
Open Biology – Open Biology is an online journal that welcomes original, high impact research in cell and developmental biology, molecular and structural biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, immunology, microbiology and genetics.
Open Textbook Library – This resource includes hundreds of free textbooks.
Project Gutenberg – Project Gutenberg is the first and largest single collection of free electronic books, or eBooks. It offers over 46,000 free E-books in English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
Perlego – A digital library offering access to over 1 million academic, professional, and non-fiction eBooks.
Philippine E-Journals – The Philippine E-Journals is an expanding collection of academic journals that are made accessible globally through a single Web-based platform. It is an online collection of academic publications of different higher education institutions and professional organizations. Its sophisticated database allows users to easily locate abstracts, full journal articles, and links to related research materials.
Starbooks ONLINE – A digital library that provides access to a variety of information resources, including books, journals, and videos.
